Originals: Originals are oil on canvas available either framed or unframed. Most of the western art that Ted paints now days depicts the culture of the Native Americans in some form. He researches the history of each tribe in order to be as accurate as possible when painting the clothing and tools used during the era shown. He feels it's an important aspect for being able to tell a story with his brush that strikes an emotion in the viewer.
Giclees: Giclee (gee-clay) is a French word meaning essentially, "the spraying of ink". A Giclee is produced using a high-resolution digital file and wide format seven color ink jet printers to spray tiny droplets of pigmented ink on an archival canvas. Done well, a giclee is very difficult to distinguish from an original work of art. Giclees are widely accepted by collectors for their rich color, overall appearance, and unlimited framing options. The purchase price of a Giclee is usually more than that of a signed/numbered print but, because glass and matting are not used, when framed, a Giclee is closer in cost. Also, because the edition size is much smaller, the value of a Giclee is usually higher.
Limited Edition Prints: Each limited edition print is hand signed and numbered by the artist, usually in an edition of 950. No other editions of prints will ever be produced.
Artists Proof: When an edition is printed, between five to ten percent is provided to the artist. These are called artist's proofs. They are signed and numbered separately and because of the lower number , usually hold a higher value.
